How to Get Us Visa

The Embassy urges all U.S. citizens, even those visiting Bangladesh for a short time, to sign-up with the Embassy’s Consular Section.  In the event of a large-scale emergency, or a personal or family emergency, enrollment allows the Embassy to provide information and critical assistance to U.S. citizens in Bangladesh. Enrollment is the only way to guarantee that the Embassy is aware of your presence in the country and is able to contact you and assist you in such circumstances. Ways to enroll:
1. Enroll online: The Smart Traveler Enrollment Program allows you to sign-up and update your contact information on the Internet at any time, making it easier for you to keep your information current. You can also download our free Smart Traveler iPhone App to have travel information at your fingertips.
2. Fill out a form: Download the U.S. Citizen Smart Traveler Enrollment Program Form that is available by clicking on Sign-up for Travel Info! (PDF 116 KB) This form requires the use of Adobe Acrobat Reader which can be downloaded for free. Fill out all forms by legibly printing or typing on all pages. Please make sure to fill out the Privacy Act information. While individuals travelling together must each submit an individual form, a family travelling together only needs to fill out one enrollment form.
